Mailed all required docs on January 15th.
Had already done FAST Finger prints in advance.
My check for the FAST finger prints was cashed a few days after I mailed in my package.
No progress at all on DPS web site as yet!

This isn't uncommon (unfortunately). Hang in there!

Lately it has been taking around 3 weeks for status to change if you snail mailed the docs. Some more, some less. I mailed mine Jan 17th, status changed Feb 6th. Yours should be changing soon.

Checked everyday since January 15th.
Finally an update today February 11th.

Application: Received
Fingerprints: Complete
Affidavits: Received
DL or ID: Valid
Passport Photo Holder: Received
Photo: Received
Proof of Classroom Training: Received
Proof of Proficiency Training: Received
Fee: Received
Background Check: Under Review
Concealed Handgun License: Print pending completion of application review

Excellent! I was concerned there might be a problem with your's since I actually mailed after you did and mine posted on the 6th. The more I try to figure a pattern for DPS actions, the more I get proven wrong. We are both in the background phase now, I have seen this go as quick as two days in one post all the way up to 6-8 weeks. It seems the average is 1-2 weeks, but there I go again trying to pattern. We are on the down hill slope anyway. Keep updating your progress and I will do the same.

How long did your background check take? I mailed mine the 15th of January and did fingerprints the 16th. Everything was received at DPS Jan 17th and I have been in background review since Feb 1.

Mine took 16 days (1/25-2/10).

Im on the same timeline. Could you update or pm me when yours changes? Im curious if its me or if its everyone.

No DPS website update on background check since it posted on 2/11/13?

background under review since jan 31,no update yet.
