Edited to update timeline 2/14

Newbie here. I have been reading this forum since suggested by my instructorJan 5. I am especially thankful for this waiting room. I would have been in shambles had you fantastic people not have posted what "normal" is. I will second what I read someone say about the weekend update: on a sleepless whim, I just checked my status on an early Monday morning/ Sunday night and it finally flipped from Awaiting to my first update. Someone said they thought DPS waited until the weekend for the first big update and this seems to be my case as well. I have been checking almost daily.

Again, thank you kind folks for calming this person's nerves waiting for the first update.

Here is my official timeline:

Jan 2: Applied online
Jan 5: Class completed
Jan 7: Fingerprints
Jan 8: Packet in the mail
Jan 15(ish): Receipt for mailed packet (I don't check the mail everyday, so I'm not sure exactly when this showed up)
Jan 28: Background under review
Feb 6: Manufacturing Pending
Feb 7: Manufacturing
Feb 8: Mailed
Feb 14: Plastic in Hand. Happy Valentines day to me!

Progress! Yay! We have similar dates. I finally called this morning and was told the additional documents were entered in the system today and that it is taking a full 60 days from the received date to receive the CHL.

Update: I checked this morning around 5:00 and I was still under review. I just checked at 7:30 and I moved to Manufacturing Pending. WooHoo!

So, official count is now:

Jan 2: Applied online

Thought I was the only one checking every two hours!

I was doing pretty good with the not checking every day thing but now that I'm close I'm doing it again. I also received my holster in the mail so that is another reason!
