The Post Election Wait

I thought I'd start a thread to keep track of the post-election wait times for packet processing, since I'm sure there are many of us in the same boat. From what I can tell, if you got your packet in before the election, your processing time from packet mailed to licence received is about a month, give-or-take (granted there were no complications in your processing). I'm sure that post-election DPS has been flooded with applications, and this thread is meant to track the new processing times.
Here are mine:
11/10 Online App
11/14 Fingerprints
11/17 Class
11/18 Mailed Paperwork
??????? Paperwork Received by Data Entry
??????? Background Check in Progress
??????? Manufacturing
??????? CHL mailed
??????? Received

It seems like those who upload their paperwork are getting much faster status update for received than those who mailed.

I definitely agree with that! If I don't show received in another week or so, i may re-submit online.
I assume that when you mail your paperwork, and it arrives at their processing offices, it gets in line behind all previous applications on a data processing agent's desk. What I don't know, is when you submit paperwork online, whether or not it ends up at the back of those same lines, or whether it somehow undergoes a faster process.
If anyone has insight on this issue, i would love to hear it.

I'm around the same timeframe
11/17 - Class
11/18 - Online App
11/19 - Mailed paperwork
11/20 - Paperwork delivered
12/4 - Fingerprints (had to reschedule these 3 times)
Status still says waiting to receive materials.

Thanks for the heads up. That makes me hope my status updates in the next day or so, since I mailed right before you.

I submitted my paperwork via the DPS website on the 3rd of this month and my status has not changed. I'm beginning to wonder if the online method is the way to go? Or, perhaps there is an onslaught of new applications and renewals post-election. My class was full and I know several others that have recently taken their class who say theirs was full as well.

Not mine or the wifes. I fully expect the background check to take some time.

Yeah....I had my hopes up. A guy on another thread (mailed about a week before we did), got his received on Monday with a BG under review. He got an update on Tuesday that said BG completed and mfg'ing. Wednesday he got an email stating mailed!

Nope, if I get a status update on the background check before Friday I'd be pretty surprised. The guy that had his done within that super short time period definitely seems to be an exception to the rule.
