No more checking the site for updates!!
Status changed to Mailed this morning!! I know it will be about a week before it hits my mailbox, so I won't worry about it yet.

Re: No more checking the site for updates!!
How often is the CHL website updated? Is it random, or only once or twice a day?
If I knew this I'd stop checking as often as I do.
Thanks

Someone posted up here that it appears to be updated once a day, around 6:30 AM.Pep wrote:How often is the CHL website updated? Is it random, or only once or twice a day?

I'm just ready to be able to carry into my "friendly" neighborhood WalMart again! I never should have let my license expire, but I was too busy to take the class for a while.

Re: No more checking the site for updates!!
My plastic arrived in my mailbox on Wednesday, Oct 24. From mailbox to mailbox, my turnaround time was 34 days. Seemed like forever, though. Thankfully, it didn't take nearly as long as my original did back in 2007.

Re: No more checking the site for updates!!
Our CHL 100's were received in the Austin mail room on the 24th. As of right now, the website says they (DPS) is still waiting on required submittals? That leads me to believe:
1. The submittals may sit in someone's In-basket for awhile and/or,
2. The web site is not updated daily;
3.
Oh well, we'll start worrying later. Our current licenses are good until next February.

Re: No more checking the site for updates!!
My new application went from "online app done, waiting on information" to "background under review" about 3 weeks after I mailed the envelope. Been under review for just over a week and hopefully done soon since there isn't much to review.......Oldgringo wrote:Our CHL 100's were received in the Austin mail room on the 24th. I've talked to several of people that were in my class and the instructor (all use the same range) and this seems to be typical on the website. About 1/2 the people get updates and sequential changes to the status. The other half just go from not received to under review and our class seems to be split about the same. The instructor said he has never seen any rhyme or reason to who gets what treatment and the processing time seems to be about the same either way. I expect that some folks at the DPS just forget to check the boxes (on the computer) and it gets caught up at some point.
