Post by GeekDad »

I sent in my packet 3/28, Still pending my first status change as off today.
I just started this journey so hopefully it wont take the full 60 days.

Welcome to the club, sent mine in on the 26th. :waiting: From what I have read, it seems like it is usually running around 30 days for the most part. Hope we both hear good news soon. :thumbs2:

Welcome to the Forum! The first status change won't be for about 2 weeks, so prepare for that. I would like to say it gets easier but it doesn't. I have been in the mailed status since Monday and this week has been the worst thus far. But in the long run it is worth it. I hope you wait is short! :txflag:

I'm on the home stretch and it's gone pretty quick. The main thing is to stay busy just like any waiting game. Read up and train your mind and body for the responsibility that comes with that little piece of plastic. That's what has worked well for me anyhow.

30 Days? That is better then I hoped for, but waiting to be able to defend myself is something I have trouble with.

Thanks! :tiphat:

This is right on the money and I don't know how many times I have read the Texas Self-Defense Penal Code & Laws. learn the difference between force and deadly force it could save you a lot of time and money.

Are you required to send your packet certified ?

No requirement to send Certified but it is a good idea. There is a difference between "Certified" and "Certified Return Receipt Requested". It may take longer if you do the "Certified Return Receipt Requested" because some mail boy will have to sign for your letter. You can tract "Certified" on the USPS website and see exactly when it is delivered and is a little cheaper.

I mailed my packet on 3/26 and had my prints done on 3/28. As of now there is no update and it has been a long week. It doesn't help that I work in front of a computer all day, I find myself checking 2 - 3 times a day. :smash:

I have yet to get any confirmation my packet has been received. Been stuck in the same waiting for other materials status, starting to get a little concerned...

03/27/12 - Fingerprints
