Yes, mine was in BG review for a couple weeks and there are folks on this forum who have found themselves in the Background Review mode for far longer for no apparent reason.

Mine just went to MAILED on Friday, wonder how long I still have. Some have waited a full week just staring at the mailbox.

Mine was in BG Review for 22 days. It JUST changed Saturday to BG Complete and Manufacturing Pending. Hoping this will move along this week! I found the BG Review to be the longest wait, not just because it's typically the longest in time, but it's the part of the process where DPS determines whether or not you will be approved. I also have a clean background, but now that it's advanced to Manufacturing pending, it's just a matter of them building the license and getting it to me. Can't wait til the day I actually get it, but I feel I'm over the hump as far as waiting goes ;-)

BG review? DPS lets Bad Guys do the review? :tiphat: :cheers2: :biggrinjester: "rlol" :evil2:

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I think DPS is allowing bad guys to do the reviews because they are taking so long. Of course I'm just joking...maybe.

How many places have you lived? Each county has its local DPS troopers to do its own background check, so that may be delaying things.

Still no change since I posted this message. I've lived in the same place for 6 or 7 years and when I moved it was within the same county.

I did the exact same thing. Maybe why we are both waiting! I got a NCIS delay on both of them. No idea why!

I went into Background Review on March 17 (mailed packet/fingerprints March 2). Yesterday (March 30) it updated to "completed" and license status changed to "manufacturing". So about two weeks for me, too. You're probably OK.

Edit: Just reread your post. You started your process a week or so earlier than I did, so yeah, yours seems to be behind a bit. :headscratch
