...and the winner is...

#1

Post by Birdshot70 »

I am smiling huge this morning.
Last Friday, background check was still pending...pending since January! :waiting:
Yesterday it showed CHL: Manufacturing :hurry:
I decided to grab a snap shot of the status this morning to send to a relative ... lo and behold :woohoo MAILED!!!
I am one postage stamp and mail carrier routing away from legal!
I think this type of news deserves a new purchase...and with this Friday being payday whatever will I do? :headscratch

Not sure. I have a .32 and a 9mm both 'carry' capable. Was thinking something in the full size 9 range, double stack mag or go new caliber and find a good .45 that's not over $500...Mr. Budget wouldn't let me do that. :bigear:

I don't have that problem...mine is our mail ends up in the neighbors box and vice-versa.
If I catch the mail just after the carrier has delivered I make sure both have the right stuff (they were built 2 feet apart on the property line instead of the end of the walk from the front door) :banghead:

Take a look at the M&P 45c, I own the M&P 9c and am thinking about getting the 45c myself because my wife shot my 9c and loved it so much that I may be losing it. Oh well I guess it is a great excuse for a new gun. :thumbs2:

M&P45c is my daily carry. You won't regret it and the price is reasonable.

I was almost the full 60 days from mailing the packet to plastic in hand with no status change until 3-16 (manufacturing).
Site showed 'mailed' for me on 3-19 and arrived in mailbox 3-23 and I'm in the DFW area so when you see 'mailed' go sit at your mailbox like I did! :biggrinjester:

I would start practicing now around the house carrying concealed. Carry and then at the end of the day see if anyone noticed you were carrying. Good practice before makes you less 'conspicuous' later. :coolgleamA:

You practice marksmanship at a gun range. You practice swing and control at a golf driving range. You practice timing and shoulder movement at a batting cage.
Anything you do that involves muscle memory and/or proper use should be practiced and practiced often.
