Howdy, I'm not sure if I am an August Applicant or a September Applicant but I'll be stoppin by both rooms to say hello. My application was mailed on August 31st, and was received in Austin the next week so I am still playing the waiting game. When did you send in your packet Giant?

I sent my packet in last Tuesday, the 6th. I'm expecting an update online at the end of this week or beginning of next week, but still. . . I can't help but check the website every few hours! Yours seems to be moving along pretty quickly!

I guess it is moving along quickly but it's killing me. Like you, I'm checking the DPS site all day long. My BG check has been under review since Friday and I know that's the last thing inbetween manufacturing.

Back to school? Still on vacation? Too hot to take the course? Paying electric bill first? Disappointed my BG didn't turn green today even if it's only been 1 day!

Welcome mrblonde. I have to say those are very quick numbers you have. 6 days from packet mailed to an update is the quickest I have seen. Let's hope you bring us luck!

Thanks. I have nothing but praise for DPS. It was a long agonizing wait on the NICS appeal, but it cleared the way for the DPS background check to complete so fast. I won't have to bother with that again!
