I'm new here, but I guess that won't stop me from starting the July "Waiting" thread.

I took my CHL class Saturday (7/9/11) and put it in the mail later on that day.

What have the wait times been lately?

Looking forward to being involved with the community here!

Mine just mailed out Friday. It took them about a week after they received all the paperwork.

Wow, that's impressive. Hopefully Crossbreed can make/ship my holster before the permit arrives.

CrossBreed is running about six weeks +. My MiniTuck, which I recently received, took 49 days. Worth the wait.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. I guess it may be worth looking into getting another holster until my Crossbreed comes in.

On an unrelated note, I've got psoriasis that has affected the prints on a few of my fingers. When I got printed at L-1 they all went fine except for my left thumb which has lost about %50 of the print. After trying it 3-4 times it finally got a passing score. The lady at L-1 said that they should take it, but I'm a little nervous that they'll kick it back.

Does anyone have any experience with the DPS/FBI, L-1 printing and damaged/worn fingerprints? I'm not sure how picky they are on this but the fingerprint machine did give it a passing score.

I'm hoping my prints don't come back too.
I cut the end of my left thumb off many years ago and it took several tries to get an accepted on at L1.
Though L1 printed me two years ago for being a public school teacher and I didn't have any problems.

Update: Prints accepted. All good.

Alright Guys,

I'm in for the July wait! But my wait has been a lot worse, as I've been waiting down a 5 year old misdemeanor from back in 2006! The great thing is I sent my docs today, July 12. They should arrive Thursday the 14 or Friday the 15th. My court date in 2006 was July 18th, so the five year mark is next Monday...the day I'm hoping that start processing my packet.

How's that for perfect timing? 5 Years TO THE DAY!

Let's keep each other posted and hope July goes as quick as those lucky May/June guys!

My wife is on the way to breaking a record. Mailed both our apps on July 5th and she is already pending manufacturing as of yesterday.

i mailed mine on 6/27, they signed for it 7/5, fingerprints done on 7/12, background check completed 7/16....pending manufacture.
