Just posting an update,
I spoke to DPS today as and they said the only thing the are waiting on is for a tech to verify one document with Tarrant county everything else is finished. My fingerprints and background came back good. So I am almost there.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the encouraging words. Plastic in hand so I am stepping out to make room for someone else. I will still be around on the forum. and will peek inside from time to time.
