Status site says the app is not active...

#1

Post by ronzorelli »

Hey y'all.

Just decided to check on the status of my application on the DPS site and after filling out the form, the site says "No application or license/certificate active."

Anyone else run into this?

I sent an e-mail to the address listed on the site for questions, but wanted to get y'alls take on it.

Was this your first time checking it?

Make sure you selected for CHL applicants and not for CHL instructors.

That's the most common problem. People inadvertently click on the Instructors portion, instead of CHL applicants.

Submitted it 9/16 in person at the DPS office.

It might be the 4 week lead time thing, since it hasn't been a month yet.

I did too. And the first time I checked the website, it read "Packet Mailed To Applicant". Yours should say the same, I'd think.

Yes. The only thing gained by submitting in person is the mail delay and cost of postage. Your app goes into the same pile as everyone else's, where it sits and sits for a few weeks, until it's entered into the system.
