No, but I did email Greg Abbott and every state rep I could look up. I also emailed RSD/DPS to see if they could expedite my app, per another poster's (suspicious) suggestion. Can't hurt.

I'll report back if I hear anything. Don't hold your breath. Haha.

I realize it has no effect on me but I want to hear if they respond and what they say!

Wow! Just minutes after reading your post, an employee from State Rep Dawnna Dukes' office called me to follow up. He said he'd rattle the chain and have someone in DPS management look into my application and call me back, or else he'll call me back and rattle the chain further! Maybe I'll get some satisfaction! :txflag:

Sounds like you got a good rep. I sent mine an email this morning and still haven't gotten any kind of response from him or his office. To be honest I'll be surprised if I do. The next email goes to Gov. Abbott.

I sent mine a few minutes after you. I heard back a few hours later. They indicated that they will check into it and get back to me by the end of the week with a response. At least I heard back. Not sure what they can do at this point.

Update: still no response from the rep. The email to Gov. Abbott was sent this morning. I'll try to call tomorrow morning.

I share your agony.

Applied 12/20/15
Chl class 12/19/15
Fingerprints 12/23/15
Uploaded docs 12/23/15
Confirmation 12/28/15
online status changed March 7

Status ? Never been able to get in by phone, weekly online form requests simply ignored.
By shear numbers last year, they got 596 applications per day, 365 days, so quite the workload, I suppose.

How long has everyone else been waiting? I submitted my paper work December 28th and finger prints arrived January 5th. Just updated my profile that I can now change my address. Almost 11 weeks to complete to this point, at least it seems to be on it's way.

So I never heard back from my state rep but I got an emailed letter from the Governors office saying someone was going to look into it yesterday. Still no word. So this morning on my commute to work I called that number provided to the TXDPS and I got someone! She transferred me to someone who took my information. He said someone from RSD should call me this morning at some point, so we'll see.

I logged on to check my status late last night, just after midnight, and saw no update. I logged on this morning, on my 92nd day of wait, about 7:45 and saw some glorious new options laid before me.
