28 Feb 14 FP and Package sent (snail mail because I thought the online was only for renewals)
as of today no response if they have received my package

Does anyone know if they send anything to acknowledge that they have received the paperwork?
If you did not mail it using some sort of delivery confirmation, then you just have to wait until the on-line status changes. Seems to be running about 45 days now before that happens.
RedRaiderDavid wrote:To those that called and got someone helpful that took charge of their file. Did you keep calling until you got someone helpful or just get lucky? I called today, its been a month since I sent my stuff in. After several tries where it said we are busy, call back another time, and then a 15 minute wait I got someone who was very friendly but did nothing to help me. He just said they are currently up to mid January and to call back in another 30 days. what the heck?! I wouldn't mind paying a little more to speed this process up.
If you (and others) look at the average timeline, you will see it is currently taking about 45 days for the web site to update after they have received the paperwork.

I called twice today. During the second call I asked to speak with a supervisor. She was polite and asked for general info. She was able to find a actual problem with my submission. Fortunately she followed thru and had me forward my jpeg's to a supervisor. For some reason the initial receiver of my documents could not open the jpeg files so my info just sat there. It really irritated me off that I was not notified.

That's what bothers me, if I'm patient and wait another 15 or 30 days and then call again and find out that they never received my packet, or there is something wrong and I start from day zero again. They should "receive" everything as it comes in and be able to update the website with a message that everything was received, is in order, and we will process your app in the order it was received. Having a status page that doesn't update until essentially your license is in the mail isn't very helpful. I guess that just makes too much sense for a bureaucracy.

Today March 12th the web site finally updated. Just still shows "background check under review (all other important stuff green).
So it looks like they are getting to Feb now.
Today March 15th her status changed to background check complete, manufacturing pending.
And today March 16th it changed to " Manufacturing".
Updated today March 18th to mailed.

The supervisor came through, I am now waiting for background check to be completed. Any idea how long they usually take for a "good guy"?

From what I'm reading with a few exceptions the average wait time has been 45 days.

Class: 2/1/14
Online Registration: 2/1/14
Fingerprints: 2/3/14
Packet Snail Mailed: 2/3/14
1st System update: 3/20/14 "Background Check: Under review"

I checked status yesterday (3/19/14) at 10:30 PM and web site showed "waiting for materials". I checked this morning (3/20/14) at 7:30 AM and status had changed to " background check under review".
Hopefully, it won't be long now.

scokill wrote:Feb 3 Application
Feb 6 Fingerprint
Feb 8 Class and Prof. Test
Feb 9 Submission online
Feb 10 Notification didn't upload documents (watch this as you have to select and hit upload before submit)
Feb 10 Resubmission
Feb 11 Notification that documents were uploaded successfully and sent to CHL Specialist

and now the wait.
So after checking almost every day I got a surprise this morning....

Application : Received
Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

From looking at others posts, it appears that nothing changes with status until 35-45 days and then it only takes a week or less from there, so 42-52 days with some outliers getting it a little quicker and some longer.
