That's great. You need to go buy a lottery ticket! You hit the DPS lottery, anyway!

My wife and I are still at 44 days without so much as a peep from DPS. At this point, to avoid being frustrated, we're just going to plan to expect them by December 1 and if we don't have them by then, we'll contact them. That's a good 60 day mark.

It is odd that their system is so inefficient, that they don't even notify us, as PAYING CUSTOMERS, whether or not they have received the necessary documents. It's not like this is simply a taxpayer funded entitlement. We paid a significant fee and by my estimation, we are entitled to answers.

Good luck to everyone. Y'all be careful out there. God bless and Long Live the Republic!

Did you mail the applications? Try also uploading each page of the system. I did both and maybe that helps me get in at 36 days... Not sure, they don't give reasons. :txflag:

as of this morning I still have no update. :banghead: Since some of the others sent in around the same time as I did, maybe mine is close as well.

Snail mailed mine in Oct 17th and still no status update. Just thought I'd add mine to the list in case anyone sent there's in around the same time. Hopefully it won't be too much longer till I see something!

I went ahead and uploaded all copies and submitted online this morning. In the customer relations section. Don't know if this will help or confuse things but it made me feel better. I didn't send my package registered mail. I just sent it regular mail. ( my mistake) .

Well I got 2 e-mails back from the DPS-RSD the 1st one said "thanks for contacting the DPS we will respond to your request as soon as we can", they actually used a whole lot more words but thats the basis. The 2nd e-mail said that they recieved all of my CHL info via the attachment i sent with my e-mail inquiry and would forward it to a CHL Specialist for review. Not sure if that will speed things upany , but some response is better than nothing at all.

Well, at least you have a sign that they got your stuff and are working on it. You previously said you are 1 day behind me. I am still getting this after 42 days:

License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.
