LOL!! I agree. Every day when I get home from work I rush to the mail box to see if my PIN arrived. I can't imagine what I'll be like once I do get it and can check the status on line all the time. :rolll

i just checked and my envelope for the pin was dated 7/8/09 also, the letter inside was 7/3/09. we both took the class on 5/30...at least they seem to process in an orderly manner!

I didn't realize it was taking so long to process. My current license expires next month. Based on reports here it looks like I am going to be without a CHL for a little while.

This is my second renewal. The first only took 2 weeks to process and arrive after hand delivering the packet. Maybe I'll get lucky again...
I dropped off a renewal packet on 6/17, and earlier this week my online status was still 'mailed packet to applicant'
I sent a quick note to DPS asking them to confirm that they received the packet and I just received a reply that the packet is indeed there and being processed. I looked at my online status and it has been updated to 'processing'

Anyone know the typical time from processing to plastic? I waited too long to renew, and my license expires next week. I'm hoping to not have to go very long without it.

By the way, usa1....If I had gotten my plastic, I'd be down at the Wal Mart instead of posting on here. :evil2:

If I make up my mind which holster to get that is. I'm torn between the MTac and the infidel.
I'm 5'9" 155ish....
Will be carrying a Sig P226. I know...that'll be a trick to conceal.

well im almost 75 pounds more than you , and its still a trick to conceal my .45
especially without having to buy bigger pants ( a feller has to mind his vanity ) to fit an IWB holster.
i have got a OWB holster that is very comfortable , i'll probably use that one for colder weather , so that i can cover it better with a light jacket or an over shirt .

Hehe. I wouldn't be so sure. I work for an airline, and when I started with them my background check took forever....They said because of my name. Tim Smith. :smilelol5:
