Hello all,
Just a little info about the long wait for Montgomery County. I called today to see what is happening with my chl. The rep explained that because I worked in Houston in the last 5 years, my background had to go through Harris County.
They tell me it is complete. They need to print and mail out the plastic. He said I should have it in about 2 weeks :anamatedbanana

Don't get your hopes up. I was told that I would see mine in 7-10 days and that was on July 3. As of today, it hasn't even returned from the printer.

Received a call today from Senator Patricks office. Only took 4 weeks for a reply. Lady said they got behind during the hurricane and since then the number of requests for CHL's has increased so they are way behind. She said that I could expect a much longer wait insinuating that I would get it when I get it. She was evidently programed to just say this because when I asked about the back log in Harris CO and the fact that there were others who took the class after me who had received their license she couldn't answer. Asked why something wasn't being done about them violating the law she couldnt answer. When I asked to talk to Senator Partick she said he was too busy. Can't wait till the next time an election rolls around. As of today its ben 143 days. Good luck to the rest of you out there. I hope if you live in the Great Senator's District you worry him sick but don't expect any help.

At least I have had plenty of time to practice quick draw around the house. The late great Doc Holiday won't have anything on me. "Im your huckleberry"

Interesting, I thought the running theory was that status was only updated once every night. I guess this means I can keep checking it over and over all day. Joy!

Ok, I know I'm starting to get whinny but....MY STATUS HAS NOT CHANGED.
It still says 'processing' even though I was told my background came back and was waiting on the printer.
