Fantastic news Mage218!! :woohoo Super congrats! :clapping:

When checking your status on the DPS website does it say "application complete, license active or issued"? If so you may get it by Friday! :thumbs2:

Any other 100+ folks still in here? I sent my app to the state in June. After sending in my photos for the 3rd time at the beginning of October, I find myself still waiting. I'm assuming now they must start the "clock" over everytime something is resubmitted. Six months in, I'm sure tired of that texasonline site.

Oh wow, that's rough ezenbrowntown. Sorry to hear of the delays. It's been more than 30 days since you resubmitted. I'd think it's about time to call AND email your State Senator and State Congressman, asking for their assistance.

Good luck to you, and I hope your further wait is a short one! :thumbs2:

Don't worry bud! I'm right here with you :)

I've gotten to the point where I'm calling, emailing, and generally being pushy. I think it might be working. Somebody higher up is now emailing w/ me and looking into why my application has not been completed yet.

Just emailed my representatives. We'll see what happens from there I guess. Sad part is my father in law got his back at the beginning of September. He hadn't even been checking the website, and found it in his mailbox. I've been checking way too often.........for months now. Anyone had any luck with representatives speeding things up?

Mr. *****,

I contacted DPS on your behalf yesterday. I was told that your
"application had been processed and he would be receiving his CHL within
the next 10 days to a week."

Please let us know if you do not get your license before the
Thanksgiving holiday.

Janice McCoy
Chief of Staff
Senator Troy Fraser

Well after much wailing and gnashing of teeth I finally got in contact with Mrs (ms?) Stahl. After reviewing my file she cleared my application and sent to printer. Should have it within 2 weeks. All in all the system has some issues but if you get in contact with somebody who actually makes decisions they are more than helpful. WOOHOO!

Regular snail mail usually, unless you've made a fuss , then it might be overnighted via UPS.
