DPS received my packet March 17th.......4 months this Friday......."Processing Application"

Rejected my FBI Prints April 29th, returned in a week. Rejected my Texas Prints May 29th, returned in a week.

Day 5 of Plastic in Hand...gotta tell you guys, it's nice to finally have it. Hang in there if you're waiting. When you finally get that card in the mail, you seem to forget about the 100+ day wait.

Haven't done the "Wally Walk", but wanted to see if I could get a vote if this qualifies:
Friday - went fishing with some friends, first time out carrying, they had no idea and didn't suspect
Saturday - Bass Pro Shops, AT&T store and general errands
Sunday - Church (which was tough, we're a hugging group), trip to the range to shake off a little rust.
Monday - VBS at church, officially on the "security team" - sad world where we have to have a security team, but glad we watch out for the kids and each other so well.

Hoping this qualifies even though it's not an official "wally walk".

Applications Complete - Licenses Approved!! (both me and my wife)

Only 119 days since applications were received on 25 March. Investigation was probably through Galveston county.

Now we wait for the plastic.

Well it finally changed! I am in Dallas County and it just so happens my B Day is 7/30.

YES!!!! DPS just called me (at 5:11pm) and overnighted me my license I'll have it by 10:30am tomorrow (friday)! woot woot!

I wait with bated breath for the UPS man so that I can harrass him for my license and do my wally walk. I think I need to go shopping tomorrow for milk or other things or to go walk around
