Oh well.
Same here...It sucks. That's all I can say. I'm glad others' applications are wrapping up and that their plastic is arriving, but deep down, I hate them...just a little...

Don't be too jealous.....the wait for the plastic is harder than the wait for the status change to "completed".........trust me. Personally, I can see where bureaucracies take so long to do things, and make things so difficult to do. Its their nature in justifying their own existence. Why it takes so long for a piece of first class mail to go 200 miles is beyond me...........I believe it has more to do with printer capacity and QA at this moment than the mail service, though. If all those new-hires are finally caught up on background checks, put them on the printer 24/7 and QA the plastics before they stuff them in the envelopes and drop them off at the post office on they way home after their shift............Efficiency in action!!

Hey Sarge...your right about the fingerprint shuffle and 6 weeks. I spoke with the DPS today. Very helpful and friendly. They are waiting for the prints to come back from the FBI. This Monday will be six weeks since I reprinted and resubmitted! Hope it is not longer than six weeks....but I am not holding my breath over this one! :waiting: :totap:

Looks like I am going to me some new friends in the 100+ club!! :smilelol5:

Hmm... I'm in the same boat. Waiting for the FBI fingerprints to come back.. However, I didnt have to do reprints. They've had my app (and finger prints - via FAST system )since 6/2, and yesterday they told me they are STILL waiting for the fingerprints to come back from federal. ARRGH!

Well, plastic license in mail this morning, so I loaded up the P9, stuck it into the Crossbreed Super Tuck, then took the S&W642 in the Uncle Mikes for the pocket and headed to Wally World.

Spent about an hour there (no ammo), looked around Academy another hour and then spent an hour plus at Tex-Guns looking at 1911's.

Nobody looked at me strange, took pictures or anything. Just a pretty normal morning at retail.

But, .... it did REALLY FEEL GOOD!!!!!!! :cheers2:

Just one of those feelings. Probably much like when you reach legal drinking age and got to stop hiding the beers.
