congrats, mine is still held up in the "background check: under review" phase. when did you send all your paperwork off?
I sent it off on the 17th of Dec. My father in law sent his in a week before me and he is still tied up on background check, I wonder if mine went through fast because I had a chl before and let it expire back in 04

I wonder how long it will take after the site says it is manufacturing, untill the time you get plastic?

That question has been asked by myself(if having a CCW from another State) and others(previously having a Texas CHL), but the consensus is that it makes no difference.

What I find interesting is that there are 2 posters in the January thread who have been issued their CHL in less than 20 days.

I just check my status firt thing this morning and it was all green! It said my plastic has been mailed. :anamatedbanana I wonder if that means it was mailed yesterday and the system updated after midnight. I know they havent opened yet this morning.

Still nothing. I dont understand how they say they mailed it on Monday and now its Friday and it not be here. I could have walked to Austin and back by now. :mad5

yes, that is one of the most frustrating parts of the process.
Mine was mailed on a Friday, and it took till Wednesday or Thursday to show up.
I get letters from family in New York, in shorter time! LOL
