About how many days have you guys gone from fingerprint and background check under review to license manufacturing? I'be been in the under review for those two things for about 6 days counting from saturday.

my status stayed at waiting on required materials till day 43 then went to manufacturing pending then day 44 went to mailed and day 50 received plastic. Never had a background check under review on my status

Initial application: 3 Feb 14
Documents submitted online: 10 Feb 14

I also called Friday, 7 March for my 30-day status update, and the lady I spoke with said "they were still going through January's applications," so take that for what it's worth.

This came up overnight:

Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Proof of Special Condition : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

So this system does update overnight because I checked around 730pm or so yesterday. 40 days from DPS receipt of materials to background review....should be soon now.

I've been under review for my background check since last Friday, and was wondering what the hold up for me is since most other February applicants seem to have gotten theirs completed in a day or two. I have a clean record (save for a ticket for doing a California Stop at a stop sign), been in the same house for the last five years, and recently passed an instant background check when purchasing a handgun within the last two weeks....should I be concerned?

I don't think you should be. I've had some traffic tickets within last few years.

I've moved around a lot the last few years, only a few months at current location.

I'll add that my wife submitted hers on same day, never had a traffic ticket in her life or any other issues at all and her status hasn't updated all.

Like I've said before. There doesn't appear to be any real method to how they do things.

Received plastic today..woohoo! 53 days from DPS receipt of documents to CHL arrival.

Now up to day 50 and still no update. This whole process really makes no sense seeing as there are some who submitted after me that already have their license.

I didn't get a update till day 43 and it was" manufacture pending" and next day it updated to" mailed"
