I sent my application in on 10/26 and today it showed "approved, license issued". I assume I will receive it in the mail in the next week or so..

I did punch a few buttons but I don't think it helped...

Before Surprise_I'm_Armed can ask it, what will be your choice of daily carry? And what part of this great State do you hail from? :txflag:

Thanks for the welcome... I'm from the Clear Lake area

So what to carry.. I have a XDM .40 with Powder River Precision custon trigger, polished feed, Dawson sights and 11 degree barrel, my favorite and great for the winter when you wear a lot of clothes...

I also have a LCR and GP100 I plan to use in the summer..

Can't wait... I drove through what I call a bad side of town at 0500 this morning to join the harley and corvette (me) parade to Houston Memorial to place wreaths on the vets graves.. I wished I was carrying

Well after they told me that mine had been sent to the printer on 12/9/2009 I checked my status 12/11/2009 Friday about 7:30 PM and it still said processing application. But before I left work Sat at like 6:30 AM I checked my status again and it said application complete - license active. So somewhere between 7:30 PM Friday and 6:30 AM Satuday my status changed. Thats pretty strange, but I am glad it updated.

So I am hoping I get my plastic in the next couple of days! :hurry:

I also have a G23. Typically I carry it in an OWB Galco Concealable Belt Holster. Very easy to draw & holster. It's fine for the winter months, but I've already started looking for an IWB model. It just seems to big of a package to wear under just a t-shirt or knit shirt.

Got an email today stating that the app was with a technician looking into the arrest I reported. This was an arrest from a warrant on a class C misdemeanor over seventeen years ago. I also submitted the certified county statement that they have no records. DPS does have a record of that as I have done a search on their website. I assume once this clears I am good to go.

UPDATE: " The rest of the background is complete. The technician needs to clear the file."
