Wow, this wait was harder than I expected. Every day, same thing..."Processing Application"
Then this morning - the first time I checked it said Processing but later I checked again (compulsive?) and it was there...
"Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"
So, I'm moving over to the general discussion forum. Thank you all again for the support and encouragement and now I say to the others still waiting...Hang in there! DPS is actually still issuing these things!

All the best! :anamatedbanana :thewave :anamatedbanana

Well checked it today and it says application complete !!!!!!!!

It took 105 days. The biggest hold up on mine was because I am a British National. My application sat for 60 days while they check my immigration status. So they didn't start the background checks until July 24th. Must say that I did ring them a lot to find out what was going on.

So I have a nice warm chair available here in the waiting room.

I also wish that all the other people who are outstanding from May get the good news soon. Now just waiting for my plastic !!!!

UPS "Next Day Air" aka "Four Day Ground" delivered my CHL this morning.

So I guess I'm outta here.

Looks like they are speeding things up a lot, so maybe the waiting room will get a little more empty soon.

See ya-

Did you move to Texas just to throw off our stereo-typical image of handgun-phobic Brits? In any event, welcome and congrats.

Well, got a call from my Rep's office today. Apparently the aide really chewed a supervisor's butt over the phone, and my CHL is supposed to be UPSed to my house tomorrow morning. Honestly, I'm not holding my breath; I've been told my permits been shipped once before. That and I'm sure UPS will try to deliver it during the hurricane while theres no one around. We'll see what happens. :waiting:
