I have the XDm 3.8" 9mm and the XDm 4.5" .45. I love them both. Never really heard of them before I decided to go gun shopping, but overheard several people talking about them. Then I spent about three hours on the Internet checking things out, watching videos, reading reviews, and whatnot. I decided I could not go wrong, and I was right. Nothing but quality, eats whatever you feed it, spits it out without a hiccup. No failures whatsoever. Sexy looking guns. Now, if SA would just put out a single stack. There are rumors they are working on it.

I've got the XD-40 4" right now but I'm more than likely gonna pick up the 3.8 .40 compact sooner or later. Which are you planning to carry??

I carry the 3.8" 9mm compact in a CrossBreed SuperTuck. Just got a MiniTuck in yesterday for my Kahr PM9, and it carries wonderfully. The 3.8" carries so well that I often try to go to bed without remembering to take it out of the holster and put it in the safe in the living room. I have a biometric safe by my bed that holds the .45, equipped with a TLR-2 laser/light, and that is my HD weapon of choice once I go down for the night.

Reading some of your psts, you are saying you got your fingerprints before you took the class. I was told my wife could not get fingerprinted until after taking the chl class. Was I lied to by L1 employee?

Yeah I got my fingerprints done a whole 2 months before I even took my class. I don't know why they would tell you that. You can do it in any order that you want because until DPS receives EVERYTHING they won't start the investigation. Otherwise my background should've already been completed.

You can't get fingerprinted until after you apply for the CHL, but you can definitely do it before the class. I did.
