Just occurred to me...

I haven't even had a chance to even chamber a round in my new LCP that I plan on carrying. I know its a dangerous thing in Texas to wish that the rain would end, but I need to get some rounds through my new gun before I am comfortable carrying it!!!!

I don't have proper holster to CC my P89, so that's not an option. Hope the weather clears up before my plastic arrives!!!

Same here Mojo Texas ( I procastinated). I took the Class on Aug 2009. Did my finger print Jan '10. Sent my packet on Jan 27 2010. M.O hasn't been cash.

1/8/2010 - Received letter with one page of application back. I forgot to fill out employment history.. DOOOHHHH
1/11/2010 - Mailed back
1/21/2010 - Received PIN / Processing
2/3/2010 - Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

It is my understanding that once it says that, it is in the mail and up to the good ole USPS from there...

The suspense is killing me...I'm still waiting for my check to be cashed. Wait...did I include the check? Did I include all of the forms? Did I fill everything out okay? What if they can't read my finger prints? I'm going nuts just worrying that something is wrong and that it's going to delay the process even longer.

(Yes, I checked, double-checked, triple-checked, and quadrupled checked everything against the checklist before mailing it...I'm just a worrier...)

DPS likely received your packet this week. Expect for the check to show up as cashed on Fri/Sat or early next week and you should receive your PIN about a week after that.
eta: The days will go by very slowly once you get your PIN (as others have resonated). I got mine last week but it feels like it's been 2!
