I submitted 11 days before you and got a status update yesterday. So hopefully it won't be too long. I lived in 3 different cities in 2 states.

Just thought I'd throw in my experience. Forgive me for not having exact dates.. I took the class in August and submitted all paper work and prints in mid September. Well I was away from the mail box for a few weeks when I got back I got a envolope in the mail from DPS, I got quite excited when bam like a brick to the face it was just a letter saying they did not receive my prints, my whole day ruined.. Moping around I decide to watch a movie before I go through the rest of the mail, or should I say bills and spam. Well after finishing Braveheart, I trackle the rest of the pile, and right at the bottom, lo and behold another envolope from the DPS, I tore into it excitedly.. There it was in all its beauty.

Then I reliezed that the date on the first letter was merely 3 days prior to that of the day I opened both envelopes


Well now just waiting for my new card after an address change, did my DL on the same day will see how this wait goes

Pretty much, yeah. Sadly, once that status changes, the obsessive once a day checking goes from the computer to the mailbox...

since I can't do online application due to my expired Audit number on my DL. Here is my Chl status track by phone.

I don't have online status tracking, but I do call them almost everyday.

CHL Class completed on 11/7
Application completed and mailed to the DPS on 11/10
Application has been delivered to the DPS by 11/12

Withdraw the $140 on the 11/21
Application been entered online on the 11/19

Fingerprint taken on the 11/26
Plastic mailed on 12/3
Waiting to receive it.

6. Hunting license copy.(Thats one of the exception for nonimmigrant alien under US Visa you can get from Walmart or Academy, other than that exception will be hard to get)
