First time poster.

Applied online 4/27; fingerprinted 4/29; CHL class completed 5/6; checklist, CHL-100 and proof of fingerprinting scanned and uploaded via the "Contact" page.

Since the checklist instructs to email or mail the documents --and no email address or instruction is provided for emailing application documents --I requested that I receive confirmation that the documents were received and that I had properly submitted. Two weeks later and no reply so I went ahead and mailed the original checklist and CHL-100 with the proof of fingerprinting. I am now three weeks into the waiting process and still don't know if they have the documents. I understand they are busy, but how long can it take to give a one line response to an email request for confirmation? Not very encouraging. :confused5
I called Austin today in a further attempt to find out if my documents arrived and are therefore, properly submitted. The CHL phone line has a new recorded message that says because of increased applications they are not able to confirm until 30 days have elapsed whether or not all of your documents have arrived and been properly logged. For what its worth, that is part of the new protocol. :banghead: Admittedly, I am not the most patient person alive.
4/23/14 -- applied online; 4/29/14 -- electronic fingerprints.
5/7/14 -- docs uploaded on chl site; 5/13/14 -- docs mailed.
9/5/14 -- plastic arrived in the mailbox

just FYI for the people that just started this process in May I believe the site that you can check your status only updates once a day between 6am and 8am and im not absolutely positive on this but thats the way it seemed to me but before I realized this I was guilty of checking status several times a day

Thanks, I've been catching myself checking once in the morning, once at lunch, and once in the evening since I got my first update. Guess I'll just try at lunch from now on.

Hello All!

I am new to the waiting room ...my husband and I are on the exact same schedule (classes, applications, etc all done at the same time). Here're our 'stats'....
3-22-14 Class
5-22-14 Applications (online)
5-22-14 email confirmation (barcode and checklist)
5-28-14 Fingerprints
5-28-14 Submitted all supporting documents through website (attached files)
5-28-14 email confirmation, "received supporting documents"

Did anyone have trouble with their fingerprints? I was told that my fingerprints will probably reject because they didn't scan well, he had to re-do them a couple times. My husbands scanned very well.

......and the waiting begins, I understand that patience is a virtue....especially with this process!
5-28-14 Upload documents - 6-26-14 plastic in hand

Welcome to the forum!

Regarding your fingerprints, I would have asked them to redo them if they were unsure if they scanned properly or not. At the place I had mine done at, there was a screen that showed sort of a "preview" of what the prints were going to look like. In fact, the person doing my prints re-rolled one of my fingers because she didn't like the way it looked.
5/21/14 - Submitted online app.
5/24/14 - Class
5/27/14 - Submitted CHL-100 & checklist
7/18/14 - Plastic in hand
