Application : Received
Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Completed
Concealed Handgun License : Mailed

Today it changed to mailed.

So 29 days for any change to status on website, went from man pending to mailed in 1 day. 30 days total.

I'd like to say that it appears they're speeding things up a bit but my wife submitted info on the same day and there has been no status change to hers.

no rhyme or reason to their process.

And for those staying up late checking their status, each time mine changed it was around 6 in the morning when the website updated, so get some sleep :)

I think the people that have change in status with 42 days or less must have submitted paperwork online and I didn't know you could do that so I mailed mine

I submitted everything online and I haven't seen any change. This Friday will be day 45 and am hoping to see something then.

Feb 18 Re-submission of docs online... again
Feb 23 Notification that documents were uploaded successfully and sent to CHL Specialist
March 7 & 14 Sent Email to make sure re-submission of docs was received (no response)
Woke up to a nice unexpected update today (3/25):
• Application : Received
• Fingerprints : Complete
• Affidavits : Received
• DL or ID : Valid
• Citizenship : No documentation required
• Passport photo holder : Received
• Photo : Received
• Proof of Classroom training : Received
• Proof of Proficiency training : Received
• Fee : Received
• Background Check : Completed
• Concealed Handgun License : Manufacturing Pending

That puts me at about 41 days from the original online submission of my packet and 35 days from when I had to re-submit the docs (forgot to attach them the first time).

What a relief! I've been checking about 20 times a day for the last couple of weeks. Now, I can still do that but the screen looks different!
Updated online to "Mailed" this morning.
So, 42 days from the original online submission to being mailed (36 days from when I re-submitted my online docs).
And, as everyone else says, absolutely no online updates until day 41 and then it only took one additional day to be complete.
Now I just have to wait by the mailbox!

Wow.. We submitted on the same day and got first update on same day.
Seems logical but definitely not "normal"

Congrats

the background check part may take longer if you lived in several places over the years and maybe changed employers a lot but neither should be the case for me so I don't know why some people get updates faster than others maybe they grabbing at random from the stack

The only part I did online was the application. I mailed everything else in because I didn't realize the paperwork could be submitted online.

41 or 42 days - I didn't look at the site the day before, so it could have updated then. Hopefully yours will get off someone's desk and into the mix soon. The wait times between people are crazy, IMO.
