Is there space for one more in this waiting room? I have a couple of misdemeanors for playing rough :evil2: , over 10 years ago. Since then I have been approved for buying guns, after a brief DELAY of course. Although I'm curious to see how my past affects my wait time for CHL. Let the waiting game begin.

12/11/13 - CHL Class
12/18/13 - Submitted Application Online
12/19/13 - Confirmation of Receipt
01/03/14 - Fingerprints Completed

The only thing I can think of that might hold you up would be your application. Did you submit a certified copy of your criminal history? More specifically, a certified Dallas criminal misdemeanor search from the county office? Also, did you list those arrests (if any) during the application process? if you did not provide that information they will request it from you via snail mail and that increases your process time to 180 days.
I hope this helps.

I did not submit a certified copy of my criminal history, although I did list them on my application. Maybe I should get a copy and send it in to the RSD. By the time my application comes up for review they will have it. But why a Dallas County criminal search?

I apologize for making the assumption that you were in Dallas county. I lost my brain on that one.
Definitely get a Certified copy of your criminal history record with the county (the one in which you live) clerks official stamp on it. They want you to do the leg work for them and you don't want to give them a reason to delay the application.
If I were in your shoes I would scan that and resend the entire application to them.Be darn sure to hit the upload button FIRST before you hit send or they will not get the attachments.
The next part may not be necessary but this is what I did. I found and downloaded a copy of my court transcript from a UCW I was convicted of in 1995. If my application is held up for a request of these files, I have them scanned and ready to send it at a moments notice.
Best of luck.

Thanks, I will do the same.

Holy cow, JohnH59, that's fast. I'm about 2-3 weeks behind you, so maybe I won't have to wait as long as I thought.

app sent: 1/7/2014
class completed : 1/8
prints: 1/13
upload confirm: 1/22
first call to complain and an email: 2/13
email response from DPS specialist: 2/14

Some information that might be useful, i just received a personal email from a specialist and she said not to bother wasting your time checking everyday. The site "refreshes" everyday at 11pm. I am at the point where you guys are where i can recite my DL number by heart, never did i ever think that would happen.

Very glad to join this board and this state, moving from a may issue to a shall issue states bring me much pride.

Mine has been "Under Review" since the 24th. So 3 weeks today.

XDR1, do you have anything questionable in your past? I ask because I have a couple of old misdemeanors and I have been in background review for three days now. Seems like most people just spend one day in review and straight to manufacturing.
