After reading AdamJ1555's signature, I decided to call the DPS because I submitted all my forms online on 12/9/2013 and got the confirmation email on 12/10/2013. I was on hold for a total of 45 minutes, but the nice lady said that they had all my paperwork and that she would forward my case for quicker processing. If you've been waiting over 60 days for any status change, might behoove you to call. (512) 424-7293.

I as well called the DPS this afternoon to check on the status of my application. I spoke with Daryl who confirmed that they received my complete application on December 6, 2013. He told me that it was much too early to see a status change on the log-in page and that it will take at least another 30 days before the application is processed. I told him that I had heard on a CHL forum that applications submitted after mine were already processed and he only repeated his statement that it takes at least 90 days. I asked if there was anything he could do to forward my case for quicker processing and he said there was nothing he could do. I'll call again tomorrow and hopefully speak with the "nice lady" grnamin spoke with. Wish me luck.

Strong! I found it interesting that my status changed shortly after contacting them for a status update. Certainly seemed to speed up the process.

Welcome to the forum. Does it show the background check as being completed or under review?
