November waiting

Mailed paperwork on November 6th. A week ago it finally went from the old "waiting" to "Background Check : Under review". But it's stuck on that for a week now. Does that spell trouble? I should be squeaky clean.

Nope. Because this morning it updated to

"Background Check : Completed
Concealed Handgun License : Manufacturing Pending"

Woohoo! It's only a matter of days (or weeks) now. I can handle that wait.

Now to wait for the next update, but since it took 78 days to get to this point, its all smooth sailing from here.

Got another status change! Now in "manufacturing pending"

Timeline so far:

Class: sometime in October:
Application submitted: 11/1/13
Fingerprints and docs: 11/4/13
First update (background check under review): 01/16/14
Second update (background check complete; manufacturing pending): 01/28/14


Time from app submission to first status update: 76 calender days, 52 work days (excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day)
Time from app submission to current status: 88 calender days, 60 work days (excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day)

Back when we first submitted I told my wife that it was likely that she would have her CHL by Christmas (she wanted to show it off to my parents) and definitely by the new year (oh how wrong I was! lol). Now here we are pushing Feb and although there is light at the end of the tunnel, it will probably be another week or so before we have her CHL in hand. Regardless, its nice to know that she will have it soon

First update was like Jan 10th, then it sat on review of finger prints and background for over a week so I called. They said fingerprints were good but it was sent to a tech to review. So after setting on that today it changed to fingerprints complete and manufacturer pending so one step closer.

11/15: Submitted documents online (just in case - recently some of my mail has gone undelivered)
11/18: Received a confirmation e-mail that the documentation has been received electronically and forwarded to the appropriate personnel

01/25: Manufacturing Pending
01/29: Mailed

It was mailed this morning! Should get it sometime next week!

Mine updates to mailed this morning a day after it said manufacturer pending. Today is 93 days since I mailed it. I'm almost 5 hours from Austin hopefully I see it by the weekend.
