Eww, no! I don't want it to get dark at 6pm and my dreaded birthday is coming in November. This year will be my second annual 24th birthday! I'd love for my CHL to come in time, that'd be a pretty good gift to myself. :anamatedbanana

Wish they would pick one and leave it alone.

I sent in all my documents exactly 4 weeks from today. Hope I can see some sort of status change. At least a confirmation that they got my documents via e-mail would be nice lol. :totap:

Agreed! I think they should stop with the time change deal. The crazy cows will still produce milk.

Not even an update on the web site? Me neither, and it's been 24 days since I mailed the documents. Still showing the same thing as day 1.

License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.

I think the only updates we are going to get is after it is mailed. I would like at least some sign that they received my stuff.

If you call they will verify that they have received your documents. It won't speed up the process but it will give you peace of mind.

I called the other day and they wouldn't verify anything. They said they would verify receipt when they started to process the file. So if it takes 40 days to start on it, that's when they'll say they got it.

I submitted 10/2 so I'm thinking, with any luck, maybe I'll see an update by next Friday but hopefully no later than the following Friday, 10/15. Will keep our fingers crossed!

bizarrenormality wrote:One of the October renewals must know the answer to this. Has DPS redesigned the license or does it still say "Category" in the upper right? If it's still there, do they leave the category blank or put "SA" for everyone? Thank you.
Sorry, just now saw this.

My new license still had Catagory:SA in the top corner.
