Thank you, Thinker. That makes me feel better! I feel like I'm playing the slot machines in Vegas every time I click the login button to check my status. :clapping:

:iagree: It does seem like the turn around is approximately 30 days, so hopefully next week I should have my plastic in hand. :fire

My status stayed on "Waiting for required documentation" the entire time then went to "Manufacturing" one day and "Mailed" the next. Just recently completed the "Wally Walk" and IT FELT GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana

Thursday, Sept 12: Sent all information in by regular mail.
Thursday, Oct 10: All completed and in "manufacture".
FYI, there was no change in my Status from the time I sent it in until it was shown as completed and in manufacture.
Good job Texas! Wish the Feds were as efficient as Texas.

Sent mine on the 16th and the status hasn't changed... So I am assuming mine will be just like yours... I won't get a notification until it's in Manufacturing.

I am happy for you guys!! Hopefully you guys will have it by mid next week! :txflag:

March 2011-Online Application (Never finished sending in required materials, ended up getting deployed shortly after, forgot about it)
June 2013-Took CHL class (Didn't take the test, A/C conked out at around 12pm, class was cancelled)
Sep 3rd- Called DPS to remove my application status from AD military to veteran since I have been out over a year.
Sep 8-Took test
Sep10-Finished online application
Sep 17-Fingerprinted
Sep 17-Mailed

Now I am giving the DPS servers a run for their money with how many times a day I check. It's still saying they are waiting on receipt of required materials on which I decided to email and ask if they have at least received an envelope. If in fact it got lost, I want to be able to send in the copies the next day certified (which I should have done the first time) or by email. I've lived in 4 different counties in three different states in the past five years, so I'm guessing my background check is going to take some time. I don't mind the waiting, I just want to know if they have even received it!

I mailed mine a day before you and my status is the same. I think some just don't update the site like others. Evo mailed his three days before me & his updated yesterday and today... So I am hoping we will see something by early next week.

I got an update finally!!!!!! Woohooooo!

"Background check under review"
"CHL: print pending completion of application review"

It's happening! I was really worried because I submitted all docs electronically. It works! Now my poor husband has to wait for his. He had to renew his passport first so he is still waiting on that. But it's nice to know everyone is getting plastic in hand in about 30 days. CONGRATS ALL! :hurry:

I mailed my packet September 17 and got a "Concealed Handgun License :Mailed" status on October 11. I'm expecting it to show up sometime after the Monday federal holiday. The total time should come in under thirty days, barring any Indian raids on the Pony Express. ;-)
