August Applications

I sent everything in Aug 5th, and nothing has changed on the online status.
Seems other applications sent about the same time all ready have
plastic in hand. Should I worry, or am I just being to impatient?

Email. I did snail mail the form given to me after I took the class. Every thing else was done online.

Plastic arrived in the mail yesterday. Doing the happy dance.

I did my renewal online application around Feb. Took the renewal class Aug 10th and mailed in the paperwork to Aug 12th. Got my delivery confirmation card on the 17th, but it was stamped that they received it on the 15th. Just checked this morning and it shows that my license was mailed to me...so it only took 18 days!! Not bad considering it took almost 60 days for my initial license back in 2008.

7/30/2013 – Completed online application at DPS website

8/6/2013 – Fingerprints completed with MorphoTrust

8/11/2013 – CHL class taken and completed

8/12/2013 – Mailed out documents using regular mail

8/22/2013 – DPS Website Status: Application received; background check under review

8/23/2013 – DPS Website Status: Background check complete, manufacturing pending

8/24/2013 – DPS Website Status: Concealed Handgun License Mailed

8/27/2013 – Envelop shows that DPS mailed CHL this date.

8/29/2013 – CHL License arrived at mailbox

From mailbox to mailbox . . . 17 days!!!

8/17 Sat - CHL class completed
8/22 Thur - Fingerprints taken
8/22 Thur - Packet mailed to DPS (delivered 8/26)
9/6 Fri - Application updated to show received/background check pending
9/7 Sat - Background check complete/ CHL manufacturing pending
9/10 Tue - CHL: Mailed (Yay!)

Got my license in the mailbox today! Woo Hoo!
That's 22 days round trip from my post office and back. Not too shabby given the weekends and Labor Day holiday in there.

Hi All. Wife got her CHL today!!! 19 days mailbox to mailbox. My CHL was mailed a day after hers.....should be in mailbox Monday....21 days for me mailbox to mailbox!!!! Sooooo glad we beat the September rush.
