Good Morning,

Apparently, my CHL application process went very quick compared to most:

Application Date: 5/4/13
Fingerprints: 5/9/13
CHL Class: 5/19/13
Packet Mailed: 5/21/13
Status Change to background check in progress: 6/7/13
Status Change to Pending Manufacturing: 6/10/13
Status Change to Manufacturing: 6/11/13
Status Change to Mailed: 6/13/13

..... Hoping to get it in the mail TODAY!

So far though, from submission of all docs to status change to mailed was 22 days.

My wife has an exactly identical profile: Mailed Docs May 21, Plastic in Hand Jun 17. I have military experience with extensive background checks on file and my spouse does not. So, it doesn't seem that prior history affected either of us.

My status changed to mailed. 6.7.13. I still have not received it. I live in ft worth. 3hrs from Austin. Should I be concerned? Thanks


Update....

I received my plastic today. Question. My chl expires at the same time as my drivers license. Which is in 4years. I thought my chl would be good for 5years? Thanks

Yes, I would call right now, also check with your postman. Mine said mailed 5-7 I got it 5-11 postmark on the envelope was 5-9 I'm in Houston.

Finally received the license. 68 Days from date the return receipt was signed at the DPS mail room until in my hands. What efficiency. BTW 7 days in the mail and I live in Austin.

Believe it or not, I plan to carry taurus pt92 af. I use a few in the pants holsters. Seems to work well for me so far.

6/11/ Up dated GB check in progress
6/21/ Still GB check in progress
