Lost in the mail? Might be time to re-send...

So here's my timeline:

2-10-13 Class Completed
3-02-13 Online Application Completed and Paid
3-07-13 Finger prints and Photos Completed
3-14-13 Mailed via snail mail from Dallas, TX (no tracking, not certified)
5-15-13 Called TX DPS and talked to someone who said they hadn't received anything so it may be lost.
5-26-13 TX DPS site says still waiting to receive materials...

So I am starting to think I need to go and get new pictures taken and resend off my paperwork.
The guy I spoke to at TX DPS said they would accept copies. Has anyone done that?

My instructor told us to send it certified mail, I just forgot!
Ugh!!!

Instead of certified mail, resend it though their online form at http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/contact/default.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Select the Concealed Handgun and then fill out the fields and upload your files. If you don't have a way to scan the files, take them to Kinkos or WalMart and have them make no more than 5 Adobe PDF files from all the pages.

Thanks for the quick reply.

What about the photos? Will they take scanned photos?
Unfortunately it didn't dawn on me to scan my photos when I copied everything else.
So I will have to get new ones taken. I'll definitely scan them this time regardless!

Any suggestions on new photos? I did them when I got my fingerprints but don't want to set up the appointment and drive out to Arlington if I don't have too. CVS maybe?

When submitting the paperwork digitally do you suggest one multi page PDF or multiple PDFs.

Thanks again!

You don't need photos. They will use the one from your DL

New timeline date:

5-26-13 Scanned documents and sent them via the link posted above.

I'll keep this thread updated if I see any progress. Thanks again for the quick help!

So today I got a generic email from the dos.texas.gov in response to an email I sent them on May 5th.
"Hi, I mailed my documents for my CHL license around March 8th 2013 and my status still says waiting to receive materials. I just want to make sure I don't need to send them again. Thank you for your help"

I went to the website and got MANUFACTURE PENDING!!!
