Maybe another 10 days and it might be in production!! At least now I feel we are finally getting somewhere :clapping: :clapping:

I'm jealous, but hopeful since I mailed mine in on the same day. Maybe my change in status is about to arrive.
Me too....I mailed mine on March 26 no updates yet but now I am almost hopeful .....

I like the "almost", it conveys the message that you want this to be good news, but you leave open the possibility of a continuing long and painful wait. :banghead:

Mailed both mine and wife's documents on March 25. Fist update showed up this morning for both of us. Background check started. Hopefully not far from having plastic in hand.

So I just received a letter dated 05/02/2013 from the DPS that says they never received my CHL-100. However, on 05/03/2013, the website says that they did receive it. I'm kinda confused now. Just in case, I think I'll both certified mail and email the PDF copies I made. I also hope copies will be good enough since I sent in my original with my packet that USPS confirms the DPS received.

Speaking of the website, the line for "Fingerprints" now says "Under Review" where as it said "Complete" on the 3rd.

Two steps forward, one step back...

Me and wife both did everything on the same dates so our status is the same:

3/8-9 CHL class
3/10 Online application
3/14 Fingerprints and photos
3/18 physically dropped all required materials in the DPS drop box (Denson drive Austin)
5/7 Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

Never thought I was going to see the day.

My status Just updated. I filed my application on March 16, Fingerprinted and sent packet March 22. Not sure why Fingerprints and Background say, "Under Review". I would have assumed that Fingerprints would have been green already like some here have indicated. Hope I'm not a sleeper criminal.

I have been in bgr for 20 days. Called dps yesterday just to see if all was ok and the man said all looked fine to give it another week or two. Status changed today to bgr complete, manufacturing pending. Makes me wonder if status would have changed without the call. :headscratch Anyway, it shouldn't be much longer now.
