Welcome to the forum.

Right now they have a very large influx of applications, so are a little behind on processing. Once they start your application processing they will be looking for fingerprints. You need to get them done ASAP. If they don't have them it will only delay your application further.

No, you can't just swing by to get your fingerprints done. You need to set up an appointment. Schedule a fingerprint appointment on the MorphoTrust website at https://tx.ibtfingerprint.com/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. You can also schedule by calling MorphoTrust at 888-467-2080.

i went to the morphotrust website and got this message:
"MorphoTrust USA has not yet received confirmation of your Texas Concealed Handgun License (CHL) application. If you submitted your application online today with the Texas Department of Public Safety, please wait 24 hours before attempting to schedule a fingerprint appointment with MorphoTrust. If you submitted your application via traditional paper documents the Texas Department of Public Safety will notify you in writing when your application has been received and will confirm that you are eligible to schedule a fingerprint appointment."

Since i submitted my application through regular mail,I guess ill just have to wait..im getting conflicting info from people i talk to at dps. one says my info should have been there a long time ago since my money order was cashed two months ago, another says its normal. i will play the waiting game and send them a copy of the cashed money order like one agent said.

Did you fill out the original app online? If so you received an email with a bar code, the number below that bar code is your application number.

Did you take your CHL class, send the CHL 100 and send your photos too?

Paper application vs. online application adds about 15-20 days to the process.

What's odd is that my father in law n I sent them the same way only he sent his one week earlier and he already has his plastic in hand....I have a clean back ground. ..he also got his fingerprint appt about 3 weeks after he submitted..
