2/1 - BG under review (15 days)
2/13-mfg. (13 days, 28 days)
2/16 - mailed! (3 days, 31 days & counting)

Finally an update today February 11th.

I'm jealous, still waiting for BG to change.. maybe next week. my updates seem to be on tuesday

It seems to take about 3 weeks once you first see "Background check in progress".
Once your background check has been completed it goes pretty quick after that.
Good luck and hang in there...it's worth the wait!

It is sure frustrating when you start seeing people who mailed later than you getting plastic already. I mailed on 1/17, BG under review 2/6, still pending... 3 weeks +. Had one misdemeanor incident 34 years ago... Certified letter from the court clerk stating all charges were dismissed was enclosed along with a certified copy of state records showing they have nothing on me.
Guess I'm just stuck waiting...

It has been taking right around 3 weeks for DPS to update the status on the web page. Don't sweat it yet, yours should be changing soon to Background Check Under Review.

Finally my status changed! I am now Manufacturing Pending!!! It seems DPS updated the system sometine between 2:00 AM and 10:00 AM today. I saw in another thread where two others changed to Manufacturing this morning also.

Yes. I hear the government sequestration cuts caught up with DPS in Austin... They had to furlough all of their Laminators!
