It has been 10 days now with background under review. Getting harder to wait it out.

I guess 10 days under review is still inside the norm?

~EDIT~ Sorry 3 weeks is the time for them to receive your app material, it should be any day now as long as you have a clean record.
With all this "gun control" talk,
I haven't heard one politician say how they plan to take gun from criminals,
just law abiding citizens.

Took them 2 1/2 weeks for me to do the BG check.

I agree! Dps must not be doing over time any more. :iagree: :banghead: Waiting since 2/1 for b.g. completion!

Imagine the revenue they could generate with an Express service like they have for a passport.

I've been under review since 1/28. In talking with DPS, it is taking 3-4 weeks to get the applications entered in to the system and a couple weeks to complete the background check. I am getting closer to that date.

T_B_M just called and DPS said they are just now getting around to entering in the applications that were received the week of January 21st. :banghead: She doesn't have any update showing and we submitted at he same time.

I don't know if my back ground check has been started or not. My gut tells me it has not and I still have a couple weeks to go.

Based on some previous time lines, today I was hoping to get past the background check. No such luck. I think depression is setting in for a longer wait. I think apps sent in middle January are feeling the extended wait times.

I am at 32 days from mailing in the application and still sitting in background check.
I have a clean record, its been years since I have had a speeding ticket...no other background issues
, only lived in 2 places the last 20 years...all in Texas.

Oh well, it is what it is....
