Hmm, I'm at 34 days now - maybe if I patiently wait for 2 more days it will change to Application Complete for me like it did for BoneDigger. ;-)

I bet it's my Travis County-ness that's making it a longer wait for me,

What's up w/ the recent 25 - 40 day approvals? Austin getting their act together?

Well, shucks. My shoulder rig *still* hadn't arrived yesterday, so I talked to the guys down at McBride's (local shop where I ordered it). Galco is out and it's on backorder. :grumble They said probably a couple of weeks, but that's probably just McBride's guess. :waiting:

If my license comes in soon, I'm going to have to carry IWB for a little while. I bought a couple of Bianchi IWB holsters, with one being a cheaper lefty holster for SOB carry.

These are them:
the "Professional" (Model 100)

the "ATB Waistband" (Model 6B)

I really like the feel of the Professional, and am trying to figure out what position to wear it at.

Also, got a GunVault Mini 1000 for locking up in the car. I've got all of the stuff to make a good sturdy mounting panel for it under the driver's seat so that it's securely bolted in. That will be done tomorrow.

Here it is:

So I'm all ready to go, though I wish my shoulder rig was here. If only my app would finish and my plastic would come in the mail! :totap:

I dunno, maybe. Perhaps it's seasonal. No major holidays and it's early enough in the year that people aren't taking summer vacations yet. A full staff working without interruption would definitely move things along faster. I've got about 3 1/2 days before I hit the 40-day mark.

Any change at day 40?

 I'm still waiting (day 41) and have a road trip coming up in about a week and a half. I was hoping to have my license before then so I could carry during my travels. The way it's going, that won't be the case.

So day 43, and no change in status. I don't want to pester the folks at the CHL office, but I also want to make sure everything is in order as well, especially since I have a small concern about the clarity of a couple of the fingerprints. For those more in the know than me (and maybe partly to get someone to post in here other than me  ), Would I be doing myself more or less good by giving the CHL folks a call to check and make sure everything is OK with my app?

Nothing wrong with a friendly call to see if you can do anything to expedite the process. Just guessing but if there was a problem with your paperwork you would of heard something by now.

Hey ntex,

We both started 'processing' right about the same time. Are you a gambling man? ;-)

Good point. I think as long as I approach it properly, I'll be be good. I'll give them a call in the morning.
