New addition to the waiting room

I'll just take a seat in here I guess... :waiting:

Fingerprints submitted and paperwork mailed off on 8/23. I'm seeing that folks are saying it's taken 10-14 days for their application status to be updated online. I guess that's 'good' news, good in that I can stop checking back every morning for a little while.

Meanwhile I shopped around and ordered a holster and I guess I'll put in some range time to keep me busy.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm not going to lie to ya... This wait is short in comparison to past years (3-4 months in 2009)... but it sure is a pain. I'm on day 24 and I feel like i've been waiting for 4 years. Good luck!

Oh and try not to get into the habit of checking the DPS website every day. It will rule your life lol... trust me.

Status finally got updated! And on a Saturday at that! After seeing some of you guys get updates after +/-14 days, I was getting worried when I hadn't seen anything after 23 days.

Checked back in last Saturday morning on a whim and saw that all my paperwork is good to go and my background check is under review. :coolgleamA:

Hope the background check doesn't take too terribly long.

Getting pretty frustrated now that my background check has taken 4 weeks. Tried calling the Customer Relations line on Friday to check in and after sitting on hold for 7 minutes, got disconnected. Sent an email and have yet to get an actual reply.

Decided to check my status online this morning and what should I see??? There is a lovely green check mark next to my Background Check status! Plastic manufacturing is now pending! :anamatedbanana

:anamatedbanana Plastic came in the mail yesterday! So far I've been carrying all day at work (I have a very cool employer!) and I'm headed to Home Depot afterwards for the Home Depot Hop! :anamatedbanana

That made it 60 days mailbox to mailbox.
