Normal mailing time....?

#1

Post by JackPatrick »

My status changed to "mailed" on Wed 2/7. I live in the Houston area and routinely send and receive mail from Austin and its always next day.

Checked mail today (Sat) and still nothing.

Anyone know if this is normal? If it is indeed mailed than something is up.... But I figure it could also be sitting in an outgoing mail bin at DPS.

Whatcha' think?

I received mine a bit slower than mail would typically have reached me from Austin. I would suggest waiting a extra couple of days, then check with the office. Hope you get your license very soon!

It probably takes a couple of days for the manufactured card to get from DPS into the hands of the USPS.

The trend seems to be that they are mailed out in batches on Fridays. They should start showing up in the next couple of days...this is probably the worst part of the entire wait! :txflag:

I agree! At least when you are on the other steps you can check something! Maybe someone should suggest adding tracking to the envelopes they mail the card in. It's the least they could do for $140.

Wishful thinking there on my part. I know from waiting on mine that I wished I could have tracked the envelope to my door.
