Wally Walk over...

#1

Post by radio_tek »

My wife and I got the plastic in the mail Thursday and today made the famous Wally Walk. We ate the nachos, purchased ammo and looked at all the gun magazines. The tradition goes on….
I will now say goodbye and good luck to those in the waiting room, may your wait be short.
Stay safe.

Congrats to both of you!

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

Congratulations to you both.

I know the "wait" can be tortuous. I hope both of you will be frequent contributors here.

Congrats, and welcome aboard to both of you!

How about some particulars? What do you and your wife carry? What's the choices in holsters?

Major cudos on your wife carrying, I wish more would...

carry info

Thanks for asking about our carry rigs. I carry a Kel-Tec P3-AT 380 in a rear pocket holster, I have found it to be very comfortable. My wife carries a Kel-Tek P-11 9MM in a nylon holster that fits in a purse that has a center Velcro assess pouch that is made for a firearm. We both have guns in our vehicles for quick reaction access, mine is a 45 ACP (Hi-Point) in a holster with a top full cover flap that is Velcroed between the front seats in my pickup. My wife has a 9mm (HI-Point) in a nylon holster strapped between the seat and the console in her SUV.
As a side note I have heard all the bad comments about the Hi-Point firearms but we have put at least several hundred rounds through the 45 and about 300 rounds through the 9mm with no problems, not bad for fairly inexpensive firearms. We own other much more expensive guns (2 Glocks, 1 Kimber, 2 S&W 38’s) but decided to try the Hi-Points for car carry use.

It took 105 days from the day the applications were mailed until the plastic was in our hands.
