So casey, what did you have in mind for a new gun? Ruger has that nice little 9 mm... The LC9 and it retails for about $350 i think.

I'm going to have to go look around, but I'm thinking a Taurus 740 or 709. I'll just carry my little TCP until I've made sure whatever I'm getting is small enough. My Sig P250C and Taurus 24/7 are too big for me to easily conceal (although I'll keep trying until they work haha.)

Hi Guys,

I had mailed my CHL package in the middle of September and my application status had changed to "mailed" on October 1 like a lot of you guys. I live in Austin so I should get my license pretty fast. Well I checked my PO Box today and my license was there. I didn't check my PO Box yesterday so it's possible it arrived then. The post mark date is 10/05/2011. I imagine they mailed these out in bulk so you other guys with the Oct 1 mail date should be getting yours pretty soon. Just thought I would let you guys know the waiting should almost be up!
