Alright, it's been a while but it's finally time for another update!

Over a week ago I sent my $1 check and cert. disposition request to the Newport News General District Traffic Court of "the Commonwealth of Virginia".
So then, another mini-wait within "The Wait" began. :totap: :totap: :totap:
Checked the mail today and the "certified" disposition finally showed up! Funny enough it was the same crap i sent in before...only with a cover letter from a clerk saying it's certified. best dollar i ever spent.

A week ago I sent in a question via the DPS CHL website asking if I could fax the stuff in and I amazingly got a response about 30 minutes later saying yes. :thumbs2: So, today I faxed it in to someone named "tammie" like the speedy email reply said and my wait resumes! mini-wait over!

Now, I'm just paranoid that the fax didn't work. lol

Hoping to get an update soon...feels like I've been jumping through hoop after hoop after hoop. My resolve is still strong...My spirit remains unbroken.
...or something.

I finally stopped checking several times a day. Now I just check at night and in the morning. I call it my nightly and morning dissapointments.

Clear record and just finished week four of background review. Something has to be up and/or wrong. They told me two weeks ago that there was nothing wrong. :banghead:

As for you, catdaddy, I wish I knew who to call or what to do!!! You may just have to make a personal visit :boxing ...and take mrmagnum with you. From his wally-walk pics, I think he could play nose tackle for the Cowboys!

Hang in there...we're pullin' for you! :clapping:

Yeah, I know there has to be a "why". But they won't tell me what it is. It can't be the FBI or the DPS since so many have been getting thiers so fast. The only thing that is different from me than others here, is local and county. So, it has to be one of them holding things up. If so, that's their perogative. I would just like to know which one and/or why. Since I've lived here so long it's not like it's multiple counties or anything. All DPS will say is "we're waiting to hear back from our crime lab". It's not like they're waiting on dna results from csi or anything. LOL
I've kept myself from calling for two weeks. I guess I'll call again on Monday.

Right now, I'm just counting myself lucky that I got in before that finger print computer wall fiasco with L1 thing happened. Those folks look like they're in for a wait.

I would definately call, too. Hopefully they won't look down on their "Generic Replies to Impatient Applicants" list, and give you the true reason for the wait. You may ask them if they would be able to tell you which agency is causing the log-jam, as you may be able to intervene and "help them help you".

Good luck and keep us posted!

Talked to DPS today. I must say, I'd wait on hold for a while longer just to talk to the gentleman I talked to today instead of the lady that I talked to last time. He was quite friendly and personable, even while rattling off the stock answers. Though he did give me some real info. Not just the stock answers. The lady on the other hand was quite condescending and rude.

I was told that my BG IS DONE :hurry: and it is just waiting on someone to type it into the system. Something about that person getting hundreds of them at a time and has to type them in, in the order he/she gets them. ( real answer )
Then the stock answer "It could be today, or tomorrow, and if it's not done in the next 2 weeks call back".

Keeping both fingers and toes crossed. Though I think I'm starting to develop a permanent limp from walking around with crossed toes. :cryin

Now that is funny! Especially the "dramatic pause" part!!! Here is the clerk he is talking to:  ! I'm glad you're on our team, mrmagnum! :tiphat:

Out of curiosity, anyone heard from Big Meg lately? :headscratch
