I kind of knew that mine would be an awkward application with me being here on a "non-immigrant" visa. If things go smoothly with USCIS, I am about 6 years from getting my Green Card and at least 11 years from becoming a Citizen. I just called Valentina at the DPS to check that everything was OK with the documents I faxed yesterday and she said that it was and my application had been approved and I should receive my license in 10 to 12 days. So if you happen to see a 270 pound English guy in Walmart in the next few weeks................presume he is carrying!
