May 2011 Applications

So.......for those of you who's status has recently changed to mailed, has anyone yet actually received their card in the mail? Mine showed mailed on the 6th, but as of today still has not shown up. So don't know if they took their time actually dropping it in the mailbox, or it's the issue of mail service in my subdivision (my neighbors and I all commonly get everyone else's mail, both for neighbors on the same street and neighbors in other parts of the neighborhood-been an issue for a couple of years). Hope no one else has my CHL and just hasn't gotten around to bringing the envelope to me!

Mine went to mailed on Wednesday I have not received it yet. I am hoping it shows up tomorrow.

Glad to hear I haven't passed a normal wait yet....hate waiting on mail, the excitement is killing me!

Unfortunately, can really only carry on the weekends since during the week I'd have to go home from work to retrieve the weapon before going out for the night cause employer bans guns in office and in parking lot....parking lot bill doesn't take effect until 9/1 so a couple of months to wait. (yeah, who would know, but I love my job and not worth the risk).

Family's going to the Dallas gun show tomorrow at Market Hall. Can't wait to feel like a kid in a toy store! Wife wants to find something smaller than my G19 that fits better in her hand, so she's looking forward to being able to hold everything tomorrow too and see if she can find something she likes to buy later and eventually get her CHL as well. So nice being married to a woman who supports weapons.....guess it helps she's from a military family and married a military man.

Looks like DPS mailed several of the May 2011 Applications on 06/08/2011. Mine arrived in the mail today.

It is kind of strange. I got my plastic on 5/16, and I thought I would quit frequenting this sub-forum, but I get drawn back because I remember how great it felt to get the plastic, and still does feel. I guess it is fun to share in your excitement.
