Well today 4/22 makes 29 days since dps received my packet and my status is "MAILED"!!!! That is awesome time to me and of course it is a renewal so not too bad.

YEA!!! Background Check went green in only 4 days including weekends! But still says Manufacturing Pending.. Shouldnt be much longer now

Sent packet: 3/17
Updated w/ pending background: 4/15
Background completed: 4/19

Manufacturing: 4/20

Mailed: 4/22


mailed after only 7 days of update!! 36 days total since I mailed the packet to them mailing the card! We will see how long it takes in the mail with the holiday weekend

Now it's a race within the USPS, and then to Wally World for our initiations :)

edit: the USPS does not observe a holiday this weekend, but there will surely be an increase in volume of mail due to greeting cards. Perhaps I should have requested that the DPS put my license in a card :)

Today is 30 (calendar) days from when they received my packet. First status update was April 15, still waiting on BG check.

4/06/11 - Called to find out why Fingerprints are still under review
4/15/11 - Called again, this time the guy sent my fingerprints up to 3 supervisors to get worked out
4/18/11 - Background Green
4/19/11 - Pending Manufacturing
4/20/11 - Manufacturing
4/22/11 - MAILED!!!!!

Even though my status shows mailed my fingerprints STILL SHOW UNDER REVIEW!? I dont' understand it, but whatever, they finally mailed the license! When I called yesterday they said it was already mailed, the status is about 24 hours behind. Hopefully it will be here today or tomorrow?? Maybe...

Wouldnt it be nice if the DPS added a tracking number next to the MAILED status?! lol I know...I know...we are asking to much from them already

I find myself wanting to go to the DPS website and check my status even though I know there is nothing else it can update to. thats what i get for checking their site millions of times EVERYDAY for almost 2 months straight.

35 days versus 60... I've only lived in one county for the past 8 years, and worked in another one. I did technically work for a California company for a year though (my office was at home)... maybe that's what held mine up? who knows. Crossing my fingers for a Monday delivery :)

Yes, I too was hoping for the Saturday delivery, but no joy.

I don't think any one thing held us up, it was just the luck of the draw. There were several of us that had their DPS received packets on or about 3/2/2011 that got the 'mailed' status on Friday 4/22/2011. I think it's just the batch we ended up in.

Monday would be sweet, I think I'll probably swing by the post office on my way to work to see if it's there. That would be 55 days for me!? I never would have thought it would take that long.

Sent mine in March 22 and just got the first status update this past weekend. It shows that the proof of my class and proficiency was not included, but I sent them.

Would it show this if the instructors hadn't done their part yet? Am I going to have any luck if I call?

No, as they have no part to play, except give you the CHL-100 form.

Highly doubtful, its just too soon.

Even though it does not show up, I wouldn't get to upset, normally it takes up to 3 weeks to get it all showing (the website is generally well behind the actual information/work)

Actually I believe you should call, it's been a month those should have already turned green if anything else has. Most applications show the class and proficiency to be green on the initial status update. I would call on anything that looks out of place.

For example on my application I noticed that everyone's fingerprints went green either on the initial status or shortly afterwards except for mine. When I called sure enough they had two sets of fingerprints stuck in the system even though I had only submitted one set. I had to call several times to get them unstuck (once a week for 3 weeks). Just be patient and courteous on the phone and they will help you out.

By the way, my website status STILL shows fingerprints under review and my card has already been mailed! The website doesn't always show reality.
