I got some good news today. talked to the technician and she told me it was sent up for my background check review. she said it will take two weeks from 02Aug2010. She said that if everything comes back ok my lisence would be mailed. So next tuesday i will be calling.

That makes it 45 days "mailbox to mailbox." Not bad, I guess. At least I have it before heading off on a road trip to Colorado in the next few weeks.

Emailed them today, I got very generic answers back, though they were quick to respond, they told me nothing specific just "A technician still needs to determine if there is anything disqualifying on your background..."

Ahhh finally some progress. Background check complete ... not long to wait now

It looks like I may potentially break one of the records, I mailed my application on 6/16, on 8/5 they asked for additional information. They received it by certified mail on 8/9. I called them today on 8/12 asking if they have everything and if that will complete the background check and they tell me now they can start the background check and it should be complete in 60-90 days. Constitutional conceal carry like Arizona is starting to sound better and better every day.

Meanwhile, Mr. Shasta, along with at least 2 of the other 4 I took my class with are still both fingerprint and BGC pending. I'm fairly certain I'm the first of the 6 to have plastic in hand.

Mr. Shasta is not amused.
